The American Counterterrorism Targeting and Resilience Institute (ACTRI) is a 501 c(3) nonprofit, cross-disciplinary
research organization focused on studying the broad spectrum of transnational militant jihadi, extreme-right, and extreme left political violence.
ACTRI researchers study the relationship between them and their effect on how ideologies emerge, spread, dominate, and influence countermeasures.

ACTRI is dedicated to acting as a complementary research resource for our domestic and international CT & P/CVE partners, relying on an extensive network of local resources, empirical research methodologies, and quality data to move beyond traditional solutions.

Extreme-right, extreme-left, and militant jihadi violent extremists may share different goals on the surface, but the striking similarities and trends in their modus operandi, indoctrination tactics, and individual drivers demands greater attention and research.

Communications-based products and activities to prevent violent extremism and terrorism have taken a center stage in recent years, while their identification, creation, placement, and effectiveness continues to be debated by CT and P/CVE stakeholders.
