David Bruce
David Bruce has over twenty-five years of experience in federal law enforcement and has served in multiple positions within the Department of Homeland Security. During his tenure, he served as a counterterrorism investigator/task force officer assigned to the Boston FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), as well as lead trainer for the Boston Office of the Federal Air Marshal Service.
At the JTTF he spent five years conducting international terrorism investigations and served in a robust Confidential Human Source Program.
David is a certified law enforcement instructor through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and has spent decades providing training on terrorism, use of force, tactical surveillance, fraudulent documents, active shooter response, firearms, and tactical medical training to federal, state, and local law enforcement officers. He also spent ten years as an adjunct firearms and tactics instructor at the Sig Sauer Academy.
David spent his formative years in the US Army as a combat Medic/paratrooper, in the 82nd Airborne Division. There David was assigned to an Airborne Infantry company where he provided medical treatment and evacuation in austere environments.
In 2019, David graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. At ACTRI, David serves as the liaison for law enforcement and coordinates ACTRI training for various populations. He also researches the radicalization process in both militant jihadism and far-right extremism.
